Brett & Jonna Smith
Brett and Jonna Smith have been pursuing God throughout their marriage, faithfully attending and serving at Caballo Church for many years. Their walk with Christ has been shaped by a deep love for their community, a heart for service, and a desire to see others experience the transformative power of Jesus.
At the beginning of 2024, at the invitation of Daniel Kolson, they began attending Dwell at New Life City, stepping into a new season of ministry to help support and build the growing vision of the church.
Brett and Jonna, along with several others, now host a Table Life Group for Dwell in Truth or Consequences, about 60 miles north of Las Cruces. This gathering provides a welcoming space to grow in faith through conversation, discussion, and genuine connection—offering people a place to discover more about God.
They are grateful for the teaching, community, and spiritual family that have poured into them over the years and brought them to this point. Anchored by Galatians 5:16 TPT—“Let me emphasize this: As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life”—Brett and Jonna seek to live lives led by the Holy Spirit, walking in step with God’s purpose and love.
Doug & Robin Van Order
Robin is a daughter, wife, mom, and grandma and most importantly a Child of God who has been blessed to experience the Spirit in powerful ways. Doug is a son, husband, father and grandpa and a person who‘s entire life has been lived in the shadow of the goodness of God, but only now he is beginning to understand that.
My (Robin’s) favorite bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9 - because it shows that God's grace is enough to help us through our weaknesses. When we feel weak, God's strength can shine through, making us stronger. My (Doug’s) favorite bible verse is Romans 12:2 - because I want the Holy Spirit to change the way I see and think.
Co-Leading a Table Life Group is important to us because it helps us connect with others and support them as we grow together in our faith. It takes more of God outside the Church. When people come to our group, they can expect a welcoming and supportive place where we grow in our friendships and find encouragement as we pray together. We dig into the Word and to ask the Spirit to move in signs and wonders.
Angela Alfaro
I've been very blessed to live overseas for quite a few years, and be a part of many international ministries, around the world, as well as teaching ESL to many international students globally. I have a passion for the nations!
During my many years at IHOPKC, I participated on many worship teams, as a percussionist and singer. Also there, I was part of the leadership of the International Pastoral Team, intercessory studies, and involved in healing and prophetic ministries, as well as the Commission team, which assisted in helping people start other international houses of prayer, around the world.
In my more recent journey, I have the daily challenges of being a widow, and a cancer survivor; yet still believing in Jesus, for complete healing, along with more miracles for me and others I know.
My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord, with all your heart completely. Don't lean on or rely on your own insight,or understanding. In all your ways, let Him lead & guide you, in every decision; getting to know, acknowledge & recognize Him. He will make your paths straight, remove obstacles, and lead you wherever you go".
This verse keeps me out of my head, and my own agenda, and focused on Jesus, who will never leave, and has good plans and purposes for me.
Leading a Table Life Group is important to me, because I want to help provide a safe place & space for honestly living life together, with Jesus, through fellowship, worship, and prayer.
In our Table Life Group, we all share life experiences together; in fellowship, praying and encouraging each other in our journeys, as a loving community of care, hope and connecting together in the Spirit.
