Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
Missions at Dwell
We believe mission isn’t something the Church does once in a while—it’s the lifestyle of every follower of Jesus. We’re called to carry His presence, His love, and His power into everyday life, and to live on purpose wherever God has placed us.
“And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.’” — Mark 1:17 (ESV)
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…” — Acts 1:8 (ESV)
At Dwell, missions looks like serving the poor, loving our city, and sharing Jesus in real way. It also includes multiple missions trips each year as we partner with what God is doing beyond Las Cruces. Whether it’s across the street or across the world, our heart is the same: to love people well and help them encounter Jesus.

Active Missionaries
Vining Family - Median Colombia
About
We are Jonathan and Amanda Vining, and our children are Lance and Lillyana. As a family, we are privileged to serve in Medellín, Colombia.
Our ministry is focused on the people of Medellín. We lead worship, support Colombian nationals and missionaries, serve the local church, host and support ministry teams, partner with local ministries, and carry the presence, power, and love of God into some of the poorest areas of the city.
Our desire is to be used for God’s glory in all that we do and to be part of a movement that brings the Kingdom and love of God to the world, beginning here in Medellín. Everything we do is made possible by God’s grace, the daily filling of His Holy Spirit, and the faithful prayers and support of our family, friends, and partners.
In April 2024, the Lord led us to purchase a property we call Harvest House. Harvest House is a place of rest for the workers of the harvest, where we host ministry teams and train and equip short-term and long-term missionaries.

Brown Family - Bolivia
About
God has given us a clear word that He is calling prisoners to be pastors and missionaries to Bolivia and then across South America.
The vision of Iris Gran Familia is to be the Family of God together. We long to worship intimately as family and show love to others in a practical way, which invites them to be part of the Family. We go past the edge of our limits and invite people out of the darkness into His perfect light.
We are based in Santa Cruz, Bolivia the second largest metropolitan area in Bolivia with approximately 2 million residents. Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in South America and many households need multiple family members working just to bring in enough income to cover the basics of water, food, and shelter.
We minister in the Palmasola prison and to the community surrounding the prison. Most of those living there are family members of an inmate. Our ministry consists weekly prison visits, micro-financing, job training, and help people find jobs both inside and outside of prison. We also run a transitional housing & family center where we meet several times a week for dinner, worship & Bible study, and we all go out and share the Gospel together. We do everything as one big family.
Micro-financing
We want to help inmates who are being released from prison to set up businesses ranging from sewing shops, selling wallets, to starting a restaurant. Our plan is to start with a total of $1,000 USD and distribute small loans as seed money.
Church Building
We have partnered with a local Bolivian pastor to share the Gospel to unreached rural communities. We are building a central community church as a place to gather new believers and hold church services.
Bakery
We are starting a bakery in Santa Cruz to provide job for those coming out of prison. It is very difficult to find traditional employment for former inmates and we want to provide a safe place to get a fresh start.
