GO – Week 7 | Impartation of the Holy Spirit: Filled to Be Sent | Pastor Daniel Kolson
What if the next step in your calling isn’t to try harder—but to receive more of the Holy Spirit?
Throughout the GO series, we’ve explored what Jesus has called us to carry into the world:
The gospel He preached.
The compassion He carried.
The power He released.
The words He spoke.
The disciples He made.
The risk He took.
But before Jesus sent His disciples into the world, He gave them one important instruction:
WAIT.
Wait for the promise of the Father.
Wait to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.
Wait until you receive power.
In this message, Pastor Daniel Kolson explores the impartation of the Holy Spirit and why receiving from God is essential to fulfilling the mission He’s given us.
In Romans 1, Paul expresses his desire to visit the believers in Rome so that he might impart a spiritual gift to strengthen them.
Throughout Scripture, we see God empowering His people through the Holy Spirit—sometimes sovereignly, as on the day of Pentecost, and other times through prayer and the laying on of hands.
The disciples who had been hiding behind locked doors became bold witnesses who preached the gospel, healed the sick, and carried the Kingdom into the world.
They weren’t simply given an assignment. They were given power to fulfill it.
This message explores what impartation is, how we see it throughout Scripture, and why the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still important for the church today.
We also examine what impartation is NOT.
It isn’t a way to measure someone’s spirituality.
It isn’t a means of adding to the authority of Scripture.
And it certainly isn’t about glorifying ourselves.
The purpose is to glorify God, strengthen His church, and empower us to carry His love into the world.
As we conclude this message, we make room to pray for a fresh impartation of the Holy Spirit.
Not to chase an experience.
Not to compare what God does in one person with what He does in another.
But to receive whatever He desires to give us so that we can faithfully fulfill His calling.
We wait. We ask. We receive. And then we GO.
